(1) Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner, .05 oz, $20.76 – I love the description of this pencil on the box, so I’m going to copy it here. “Define and frame the face with an instant brow lift. Ultra creamy, longlast double ended pencil features a universal defining and shaping shade, with a natural powder finish, and a brightening highlighter.” Also, “…for every Brow Lift Perfecting Liner bought in the US, 100% of the profits will be donated to Look Good Feel Better”. What a great company!! Look Good Feel Better is a non profit organizations that works to support women with cancer. I love the colors, but it isn’t a product I would use. I’ll be sure to pass it on to a friend who will use it. Oh, it’s paraben and cruelty free!
(1) Biossance The Nourisher Precious Rose Face Oil, .14 fl oz, $9.60 – I haven’t stepped onto the facial oil band wagon just yet. Despite that, I just had to try this oil! It’s non toxic, paraben free, synthetic fragrance free, phthalates free, mineral oil free, and made for all skin types. I had the hardest time even opening the bottle. Once I did, I put a few drops on my hands and rubbed them onto my face. The oil absorbed quickly and left my skin felt soft and smooth. I’m thinking it might take a few uses to see any results from using it, but I did like it. Hopefully it doesn’t make me break out.
(1) Leighton Denny in Pillow Talk, .4 fl oz, $16 (converted from pound) – This is such a beautiful color!! Ironically enough, I really dislike that new song called Pillow Talk.
Here are two pics of it on. The first without use of the flash and the second with the flash. I would definitely describe it as a dark magenta.
(1) Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask, 3.4 fl oz, $18 – This mask is to be used after washing your face. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash off. It is meant to assist in skin regeneration. It seemed to absorb really quickly, which makes me wonder why you wash it off when it seems like almost nothing came off when I rinsed, since it absorbed so well. This will also be another product that I’m sure I have to use for a while before I see any improvements.
(1)Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, 2 fl oz, $1.19 – This spray is infused with dead sea salt and sea kelp. It smells nice, fresh, and sort of salty…almost exactly like a day at the beach! I’m not actually in need of this product so I’m not going to try it, but I do appreciate that it’s paraben free. I received the same item in a Target Beauty Box many moons ago, which is kind of weird since I would never classify GlossyBoxes and Target Beauty Boxes as similar. Definitely strange!
Overall Impressions: It was nice to be introduced to several new brands this month, even though the Beach Babe struck a negative chord. Was difficult researching many of the items, though, since most of them were British. Would be hard to buy more if I ended up loving something. My calculated value comes to around $66, which is great for a box that cost $21 or less with a multi-month subscription. I think this is going to be my last GlossyBox for a while. I need to take a little break and, hopefully, their boxes will improve over the next couple of months I’ll be back then, GlossyBox! 🙂
